Rep. Steel Solidifies the Support of State and Local County Republican Parties in Bid for New CA-45
Garden Grove, CA – Today, Rep. Michelle Steel announced the major endorsements of the California Republican Party, the Republican Party of Orange County, and the Republican Party of Los Angeles County in her bid for California’s new 45th congressional district.
Steel previously announced she has received the endorsements of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Young Kim, Rep. Ken Calvert, and former Rep. Mimi Walters.
By receiving endorsements from the state and local Republican county parties, Congresswoman Steel becomes the officially endorsed Republican candidate in California’s 45th district.
“As a Member of Congress, Congresswoman Steel has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for every Californian,” said Jessica Millan Patterson, Chairwoman of the California Republican Party. “She has kept her promises by relentlessly fighting to lower taxes, bolster national security, create jobs, and hold out-of-touch Washington, DC politicians accountable. That’s why the California Republican Party is proud to endorse Michelle Steel to continue her effective and responsive leadership in Congress.”
These key endorsements come on the heels of Rep. Steel’s announcement that she raised $810,000 in the FEC’s 2021 fourth quarter, which more than doubled her Democrat opponent, Jay Chen. Steel has raised $3.2 million for the cycle and has amassed a warchest of nearly $1.7 million.
