Steel to question IRS Commissioner today
Tran supports effort to target working families, others silent
Garden Grove, CA – The Michelle Steel for Congress Campaign today called on her opponents to tell voters prior to the March 5th Primary as to whether they support Joe Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act that includes $80 billion to target working families with 87,000 new auditors.
Steel, who is set to question the IRS Commissioner today in a House Ways and Means Committee Hearing, voted against the Inflation Reduction Act citing the $80 billion as an attack on low-income families as one of many reasons for her opposition.
“As March 5th approaches, it’s obvious that the Democrats running to take on Michelle Steel are trying to hide from voters where they stand on important issues like giving the IRS $80 billion to target working families,” said Steel Campaign Spokesperson Lance Trover. “Derek Tran supports shoveling $80 billion to the IRS, but Cheyenne Hunt, Kim Nguyen and Aditya Pai are silent.”
Congresswoman Michelle Steel led the first bill to be passed by the House of Representatives in the new Republican majority to prevent the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) from using its massive, $80 billion infusion of taxpayer dollars to target middle and low income families with an increase of audits, while preserving funding for customer service and IT modernization.
The Inflation Reduction Act is just the beginning of CA-45 Democrats trying to hide from voters just how far left they are when it comes to the issues voters care about.
