CA-45 News: Rep. Michelle Steel Releases Second TV Ad “Enormous Power”

Garden Grove, CA – Today, the Michelle Steel for Congress campaign released their second TV ad of the election cycle. In the ad, Rep. Steel shares the personal story of her family escaping a communist-backed invasion in Korea. Steel says this is what motivates her to stand up to the abuses and influence of Communist China here in America.

The ad, titled “Enormous Power” highlights Communist China’s intimidation of American institutions like the NBA and Hollywood, as well as Steel’s fight to ban Chinese Propaganda in American schools, and stop China’s corrupt trade deals.

The ad stands in contrast to Steel’s opponent who has recently come under heat for his unwavering support of a program that allowed Communist China into our children’s classrooms. These Confucius Institutes are an education program sponsored by the Chinese government that the State Department declared a program to advance Beijing’s global propaganda, and in 2021 the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to increase oversight of the program.

A decade later, Chen has failed to revoke his support of the Chinese Communist propaganda he promoted in American schools.

Steel has made it a cornerstone of her campaign to not just rid China’s propaganda from our children’s classrooms, but stop China’s influence over American institutions as a whole.
