Secretary Mike Pompeo Endorses Michelle Steel’s Re-election, Cites Record of Standing up to Communism and Fighting for Lower Taxes
Yesterday, Secretary Mike Pompeo, who most recently led the U.S. State Department as Secretary of State, officially announced his endorsement of Rep. Michelle Steel, who is running for reelection in California’s 45th district.
As America’s top diplomat, Secretary Pompeo oversaw a State Department that brokered historic peace deals in the Middle East, stood up to authoritarian regimes like China, North Korea, and Venezuela, and most importantly exhibited strength and competency on the global stage.
Speaking about his endorsement, Secretary Mike Pompeo said, “I am proud to offer my support to Congresswoman Michelle Steel for her re-election. Michelle is a committed public servant who has delivered on her promises to lower taxes, fight inflation and stand up to communist nations threatening America’s global leadership. We need leaders like Congresswoman Steel in Congress who will continue to fight the overreaching, out-of-touch Biden/Pelosi agenda.”
“I am honored to receive Secretary Pompeo’s endorsement for my reelection,” said Congresswoman Michelle Steel. “Under his leadership at the State Department, America showed unmatched strength abroad and held communist countries like China accountable. I am proud to be working to restore that type of foreign leadership despite the Biden Administration’s failed and embarrassing foreign policy.”
Secretary Pompeo joins a long list of both national and local leaders endorsing Steel for reelection, including Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina and former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley. For a full list of Rep. Steel’s endorsements, visit https://michellesteelca.com/endorsements/.
