Even DCCC Tries to Stop Sore Loser & Tax Cheat Rouda from Lies about Michelle Steel
Huntington Beach, CA – In yet another example as to why he was kicked out of office, by Orange County voters last November, Harley Rouda has refused to address why he forced the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee to lie about Michelle Steel.
“Sore loser and tax cheat Harley Rouda’s lies know no boundaries and now he refuses to explain why he’s forced the DCCC to publicly lie about Michelle Steel,” said Michelle Steel Spokesperson Lance Trover. “Even when National Democrats warned him against lying, Rouda doubled down and demanded to keep spreading falsehoods about Michelle. It’s no wonder voters showed Harley Rouda the door last November.”
“Rouda, who lost by 2 points in a district President Biden carried by a similar margin, is mounting a rematch with Steel. Another DCCC researcher in the email chain pushed back on calling Steel the “QAnon Congresswoman” in the release “because she hasn’t personally expressed support for QAnon” and offered “maybe another adjective like ‘divisive’ or ‘do-nothing.’” But, according to the campaign staffer, Rouda had requested that the campaign include the nickname. The nickname and the line about impeachment remained in the final draft reporters received Thursday afternoon.”
There was also a debate about whether to call Steel a “QAnon Congresswoman” in the release “because she hasn’t personally expressed support for QAnon.”… The staffer also noted that it was Rouda’s personal request that they use that term for Steel. It was also kept in the release.
The National Republican Congressional Committee gleefully sent out word of the leaked email to its own press list, saying it showed “Harley Rouda pressured the DCCC to intentionally spread disinformation about Michelle Steel, which they did despite knowing it wasn’t true.”

Michelle Steel appeared to accidentally include an internal back-and-forth between the committee and a campaign staffer over wording and strategy. In editing a draft press release by a campaign aide to former Rep. Harley Rouda, who’s mounting a rematch campaign against Steel, a DCCC researcher pushed back on a line invoking her vote against impeaching Trump.”
