Local Organizations Continue to Consolidate Around Steel’s Candidacy for CA-48
Huntington Beach, CA – The New Majority announced its endorsement for Michelle Steel as she looks to beat Harley Rouda to represent California’s 48th Congressional District. Their endorsement comes on the heels of a key endorsement from Republican Whip Steve Scalise that the campaign announced last month.
The New Majority is a statewide organization that promotes a fiscally responsible philosophy in government and an inclusive mainstream approach towards politics. It supports candidates that embody these principles and share their mission for an economically-sound approach to governing.
In the announcement, New Majority Orange County Chairman Steve Craig stated, “The New Majority is thrilled to support Michelle Steel for Congress, and we urge others to do the same. Through her own incredible life story, Michelle has shown her dedication to public service and constant willingness to fight for the needs of her community. She has worked to ensure fairness in our tax system, make government more efficient and has implemented common sense solutions to protect our environment. Michelle is exactly who we need in Washington, fighting for jobs, lower taxes and all the values we hold dear.”
“I am honored to have the support of The New Majority,” stated Michelle Steel. “Since its inception, The New Majority has been a voice of reason here in California, and in Orange County. They have championed the causes of individual freedom, lower taxes and limited, but efficient government. I’m grateful for their endorsement.”
