County Supervisor Michelle Steel Solidifies Strong Base of Support in CA-48’s Largest City, Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach, CA– Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel announced today she has earned the endorsements of the majority of the elected city officials in Huntington Beach, the largest city in the 48th congressional district with nearly 30% of all voters in the district.

Michelle Steel’s congressional campaign has continued to build strong momentum with the majority of local elected officials in the district endorsing her candidacy over the Democrat incumbent. Thus far, Steel has garnered the support of the majority of Orange County’s most influential leaders including Sheriff Don Barnes and Supervisors Lisa Bartlett, Don Wagner, and Andrew Do. Steel’s strong start has been recognized by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) who named her an “On the Radar” candidate in the important Young Guns recruitment program and has also resulted in the recent endorsement of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Supervisor Steel currently represents the county’s 2nd supervisorial district which overlaps 66% of California’s 48th congressional district which encompasses all or portions of Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, and Westminster.
