Huntington Beach, CA– Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel added the endorsements of several Orange County’s county-wide elected officials to her growing list of supporters today. Orange County Clerk-Recorder Hugh Nguyen
Orange County Treasurer-Tax Collector Shari Freidenrich
“I’ve worked closely with County Supervisor Michelle Steel, and she has proven to be an effective leader, strong communicator, and a fierce advocate who gets things done for her constituents,” said Eric Woolery, Orange County’s Auditor Controller.
“Michelle Steel tirelessly works to meet with constituents, organizations, and community leaders and listens to better understand the issues her constituency cares about so she can most effectively represent them,” said Orange County Clerk-Record Hugh Nguyen. “Michelle Steel is principled, responsive, accessible, and is exactly the type of leader Orange County needs in Congress.”
The Michelle Steel for U.S. Congress campaign has built significant momentum in the first six weeks and has already secured the endorsements of the Republican Party of Orange County, Lincoln Club of Orange County, and several of the district’s most influential leaders, including State Assemblyman Tyler Diep and County Supervisors Lisa Bartlett and Andrew Do.
In 2018, Steel was overwhelmingly re-elected to represent Orange County’s 2nd supervisorial district with 63.4% of the vote. The 2nd supervisorial district overlaps 66% of California’s 48th congressional district and is solely in Orange County.
The 48th district encompasses all or portions of Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Seal Beach, and Westminster.
